Overview

Kevin Taylor has completed more than 125 jury trials and serves as national trial counsel and national monitoring counsel for several insurance carriers.  Kevin has served as lead counsel in several lawsuits involving mass shootings, and is frequently sought out for consultation in similar cases in light of his established expertise.  Kevin also specializes in handling all manner of insurance defense matters, concentrating on premises liability, product liability, and construction cases that are likely to go to trial.   Nearly all of his cases involve catastrophic personal injury and/or death, oftentimes multiple deaths.  In addition, Kevin defends a docket of general commercial litigation and coverage matters. 

Experience

Kevin centers his practice on acting as trial counsel for catastrophic personal injury defense cases involving excess/umbrella exposure.

Kevin has completed jury trials in more than eight different states.

He is responsible for cases all over the country, including matters in California, Texas, Illinois, Colorado, Alabama, Arkansas, South Carolina, Utah, Georgia, North Carolina, New Mexico, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Hawaii, Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisiana, Wyoming, Arizona, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Florida.

He has successfully argued before the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals (published as Eastman v. Union Pac. R.R. Co., No. 05-8106, 2007 WL 1954031 (10th Cir. July 6, 2007)), and regularly appears in state and federal courts throughout the country.
