Overview

Sonia Johnson is an associate attorney who focuses her practice on insurance and civil litigation.  Sonia grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and upon graduation from high school, Sonia attended Jackson State University on a basketball athletic scholarship and graduated cum laude.  Sonia attended Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she worked in the Low-Income Tax Clinic and graduated cum laude.

Experience

Prior to joining Taylor | Anderson, Sonia gained valuable trial and legal experience working as an Assistant Prosecutor in Louisiana and Missouri. During this time, Sonia evaluated and investigated over thousands of cases, and built excellent case management skills. She has successfully tried more than 30 jury trial where she has garnered convictions for Murder, Robbery, Assault and Battery and Child Pornography cases.  Thereafter, Sonia moved on to gain civil litigation experience, and joined the Taylor | Anderson team. Her extensive prosecutorial experience gives Sonia a great trial foundation, and helps her stay cool under pressure in court. She is an excellent team player, and understands the need for excellent legal knowledge and representation. Sonia has garnered the ability to work diligently with the client in obtaining favorable results.
