John-Paul Mantone

John-Paul (“JP”) Mantone is originally from Long Island, NY, and is an associate attorney at Taylor Anderson’s San Diego office.

Before joining the firm, JP served for 20 years as an officer in the U.S. Navy, where he held leadership positions on six ships and completed multiple deployments around the world. He also served at the Pentagon, on Capitol Hill, and was also an exchange officer with the British Royal Navy.

JP earned his Juris Doctor from the California Western School of Law, where he graduated cum laude, earned four academic excellence awards, and was an Associate Editor and published author for the California Western Law Review. During law school, he was a judicial extern to the Honorable Anthony J. Battaglia at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California; a law clerk at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Civil Division; and clerked at another civil litigation law firm in San Diego.

JP is also a graduate of Villanova University and the U.S. Naval War College. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two cats, trying out restaurants, and is avid podcast and audiobook listener.
