Taylor|Anderson LLP is proud to announce that six of our partners were named 2017 Super Lawyers and two of our associates were named 2017 Rising Stars.  They are Kevin Taylor, Brent Anderson, Kyle Seedorf, Elizabeth McNulty, Lee Mickus, John Roche, JD Murdock and Aaron Pratt.

Kevin Taylor: has completed more than 125 jury trials and serves as national trial counsel and national monitoring counsel for several insurance carriers.   Kevin specializes in handling all manner of insurance defense matters, concentrating on premises liability, product liability and construction cases which are likely to go to trial.   Nearly all of his cases involve catastrophic personal injury and/or death, oftentimes multiple deaths.  In addition, Kevin defends a docket of general commercial litigation and coverage matters.

Brent Anderson: has a national trial practice, defending multimillion dollar catastrophic injury cases, with a focus on product liability and trucking matters.  He has tried cases in 13 different states, and litigated matters from Alaska to Florida, and Maine to California. Brent’s experience in effectively presenting complex and technical information at trial runs the gamut from fire science and electrical engineering principles to multi-vehicle accident reconstructions.  Such skills have allowed him to act successfully as national trial counsel for a number of different product manufacturers, winning cases as diverse as an asbestos trial in Philadelphia, a quadruple-death case in Kansas, and a consumer product trial in Las Vegas. 

Kyle Seedorf: defends clients in disputes arising from product liability, premises liability, personal injury and property damage claims. He represents parties in contract disputes and other forms of commercial litigation as well as defending lenders and loan guarantors against the discharge of federal student loan debt, analyzing and drafting contractual agreements, analyzing insurance coverage, and insurance defense.  Paired with his background in tort defense, insurance coverage, and commercial litigation, Kyle's previous work as in-house counsel gives him a perspective from which he is able to advocate strongly for his clients while being uniquely mindful of his clients' interests and concerns.

Elizabeth McNulty: defends manufacturers in complex catastrophic injury and fatality litigation.  She defends class action and mass tort claims, relating to a variety of consumer products, in both federal and state courts. In addition, she oversees national and regional counsel defense programs put in place to manage repetitive litigation involving design, manufacture, and warnings defect claims.  In her regulatory and environmental practice, Elizabeth defends clients against Proposition 65, asbestos, toxic tort and other environmental exposure claims.

Lee Mickus: defends manufacturers and other business interests in product liability and tort lawsuits around the country, guiding cases through the discovery, trial, and appeal stages.  He has successfully tried cases to juries in Colorado, Texas, California, New York, Puerto Rico, Montana and several other states.  Lee has handled cases involving a wide variety of industries and products, including automobiles, pharmaceuticals, financial planning, livestock and agricultural operations, medical devices, industrial machinery, wine and recreational equipment.  Lee has made court appearances, argued appeals, and submitted amicus briefs in numerous jurisdictions across the country.

John Roche: has 34 years of experience in a wide variety of civil trials, appeals and other litigation matters, including complex commercial and securities litigation, class actions and derivative actions, legal malpractice, insurance coverage disputes, wrongful death, premises liability, environmental litigation and personal injury.

Floyd Hartley: For two decades, Floyd has litigated business, civil rights, commercial, energy, employment, whistleblower, and white collar matters in federal and state courts across the country. He has successfully represented public and private companies, as well as individuals and local governmental entities, in complex matters involving a wide range of issues across a broad spectrum of industries and fields. From 2010-2014, he served as a lead member of the trial team successfully representing Halliburton nationwide in all civil litigation arising from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

James "J.D." Murdock: defends clients in complex litigation including wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases involving products liability, fire loss litigation, automobile liability, construction litigation, breach of contract, premises liability, class action, medical malpractice, and general negligence claims.  He also has served as monitoring counsel in numerous high-exposure cases throughout the country.  J.D. has represented clients in state and federal courts in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, North Carolina and Oregon.  Over the course of his career, he has taken over 100 lay and expert witness depositions, represented clients at mediations, arbitrations, administrative law hearings, jury trials, and in appellate courts.

Aaron Pratt: is a civil litigator with experience handling large loss personal injury actions involving product liability, commercial trucking, premises liability, and mass shootings.  He also has represented insurance carriers in first party bad faith actions.  Aaron has represented clients in state and federal court, administrative investigations, and mediations. He has taken or defended numerous lay witness, expert, and party depositions.  He also has experience trying cases that includes first and second chair responsibility.
