James "J.D." Murdock defends clients in complex litigation including wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases involving products liability, fire loss litigation, automobile liability, construction litigation, breach of contract, premises liability, class action, medical malpractice, and general negligence claims. He also has served as monitoring counsel in numerous high-exposure cases throughout the country.
J.D. has represented clients in state and federal courts in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, North Carolina and Oregon. Over the course of his career, he has taken over 100 lay and expert witness depositions, represented clients in jury trials and at arbitrations, mediations, administrative law hearings, and in appellate courts.
In addition to his litigation practice, J.D. also is involved in transactional work including drafting of contracts for various marketing and consumer research companies.
